FILLER

FILLERS

Fillers consist of hyaluronic acid that is found naturally in the body. One third is decomposed and replaced every day and the amount of hyaluronic acid decreases considerably with age, which means that we experience that the skin loses elasticity, volume, and resiliency.

What is the difference between different brands and varieties?

Different fillers have different treatment areas and purposes. The composition varies and a certain filler can give volume, and another has a moisturizing and smoothing effect on wrinkles and creases.

Vi använder oss av fillers med högsta kvalitet.

How much do I need the first time?

It varies depending on your starting position and your wishes, you will receive recommendations specifically for you at your consultation. In general, it can be said that the usual for lip augmentation is at 1 ml and for cheeks about 2 ml.

What should I think about before the treatment?

Avoid blood thinners to reduce the risk of bruising. Avoid painkillers such as Ipren (Ibuprofen), Voltaren (Diclofenac) and Naproxen one week before treatment. Avoid Omega 3 two weeks and alcohol at least five days before your visit. If you are taking blood-thinning medicines such as Waran, Trombyl or Elequis, contact your doctor about any reduction of these medicines before treatment. Arrive about 20 minutes before your booked time if you want anaesthetic ointment, so it has time to work properly before your treatment.

Does it hurt?

We use very small fine needles, and our fillers contain anaesthetics to minimize pain. If you also want anaesthetic ointment in the treatment area, you will arrive about 20 minutes before your booked time. In general, no or a little discomfort is felt during the treatment, but it is of course individual.

Who can't get Filler?

Pregnant or breastfeeding women cannot be treated. If you are allergic to any of the ingredients of the fillers (lidocaine for example) or if you are under 18 years old.

How often can you refill?

You can do a small refill / touch-up two weeks after the treatment. After that, you usually refill after a few months, depending on the type of filler you have used and the area that has been treated. Anything from 3 - 18 months works to maintain a long-lasting result.

How long does it last?

It is very individual and depends on several factors such as metabolism, the area treated, the type of fillers used, etc. In general, the effect in the cheekbones lasts longer than in the lips. It can last between 6 months - 1.5 years.

Can you mix different fillers?

Yes, the brands we use can be mixed well. If you have any other filler in the area to be treated, we recommend that you wait at least 6 months before we treat you, sometimes we completely advise against treatment. Products that provide volume are called fillers. Fillers are usually used to fill the cheeks, lips, or lines from the nose to the mouth with fillers.

With fillers you can modulate the face.

You can create something that you do not have, which you cannot do with Botox. Filler durability depends entirely on where it is injected and what individual conditions the patient has. To maintain the result, the treatment must be repeated. After the first time that fillers have been injected, a new treatment is done fairly close to make the result last longer.

Collagen decreases with age.

Many people use injections to look healthier as the skin has lost elasticity and the production of collagen has decreased Kollagen är ett protein som håller ihop och stärker huden. Efter att man har fyllt 25 år minskar kollagen i huden med en procent per år. Därför behöver personer inte injicera vare sig botox eller fillers innan de fyllt 25 år.

Important to keep in mind after treatment:

Leave the skin to rest and do not wear make-up 24 hours after the treatment as the skin becomes more susceptible to infections due to the needle sticks. No exercise, alcohol or air travel for more than 72 hours after the treatment. Avoid sunbathing on the treated area for about 14 days and / or use high sunscreen. Inform your therapist that you have received filler treatment if, for example, you are to undergo another type of facial treatment in the weeks after your treatment. Wait with a dental visit 14 days. Immediately after the treatment, it is natural to experience a mild swelling, itching or discoloration in the area being treated. However, this will disappear by itself after a few days. In rare cases, you may get small bruises during the first few days. However, you can easily return to work immediately after the treatment but avoid using make-up on the treated area.
